Lectionary 1 (named sigla 1 after the numbering by Gregory-Aland ) is a Greek manuscript of the New Testament on parchment sheets.

The manuscript used to be known as Codex Colbertinus 700.

description

The code contains lessons from the Gospels ( Evangelistarium ) along with some lacunae . It is described in Greek uncial manuscript on 265 sheets of parchment (30 × 24 cm). Each page has 2 columns with 10 lines each, 7–9 letters per line.

history

It was dated to the 10th century by means of paleography . It had previously been assigned to different time periods. Scrivener dated it to the 8th century, Omont to the 14th century, and Gregory to the 10th century. Nowadays dating to the 10th century is commonly accepted.

This manuscript originally belonged to Jean-Baptiste Colbert . The manuscript was examined by Bernard de Montfaucon , Johann Jakob Wettstein , Scholz , Paulin Martin , and Henri Omont.

The code is now in the Bibliothèque nationale de France under the signature Gr. 278 in Paris.
