Eleonora Gabriela Pons Maronese (born June 25, 1996 in Caracas , Venezuela ) is a Venezuelan and American web video producer , actress and singer ("Celoso").

biography

Pons moved to the United States at the age of five and lived in Miami , Florida . At the age of 15, Pons got her first smartphone, which she used to shoot her first videos for the video portal Vine . In 2015, Pons graduated from Miami Country Day High School and moved to Los Angeles . At school, Pons was bullied by her classmates for her accent and nose. She wrote a book about this time (Surviving High School) that was published in April 2016. On May 19, 2020, the first episode of “The Secret Life of Lele Pons” was published on YouTube Originals, in which she publicly announced for the first time that she suffered from OCD, Tourette's syndrome and depression.

On June 13, 2016, she reached 8.4 billion "loops" and 11.1 million followers on her Vine channel. She currently has 41.3 million followers on her Instagram account. On September 18, 2015, she launched her YouTube channel with around 14.1 million subscribers in April 2019. Her YouTube channel is currently managed by “Shots Studios”, which also produce their videos.

Filmography

So far, Pons has starred in the television series Escape the night , Scream and in the films We love you , Airplane Mode (2018) and Den Sternen so nah (2017).
