Lena Kemper

Lena Kemper (born October 4, 1984 in Dorsten ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Kemp's father Bruno was a co-founder of BG Dorsten , club chairman and “doer” of the BG, her older sister Birthe was partly her teammate in the Bundesliga and in later years. The 1.74 meter long winger became German U20 champion with BG Dorsten and made it into the Bundesliga squad.

In 2004 she became German cup winner and runner-up with the BG. Kemper and Dorsten, who withdrew from the Bundesliga to the Regionalliga after the end of the 2006/07 season, also competed in the European club competition FIBA Europe Cup . From the 2008/09 season she played again for the BG women: first in the regional league, then from 2009 to 2011 in the second division, then again in the regional league and later in the regional league. From 2013 she was a player-coach for the BG. At the beginning of 2011, Kemper took up the position of managing director of BG Dorsten, after having previously worked as an event manager in the Arena Oberhausen .
