Birthe Kemper

Birthe Kemper (born September 14, 1981 in Dorsten ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Kemper comes from a basketball family, her sister Lena also played in the Bundesliga, father Bruno was a co-founder of the BG Dorsten , club chairman and “maker” of the BG. The 1.74-meter-long winger was represented in the Bundesliga with BG Dorsten from the 2001/02 season. With the BG, she also competed in the European club competition FIBA Europe Cup . After Kemper, who studied medicine, had retired in the meantime, she played again for the BG Dorsten from the 2008/09 season, which had meanwhile voluntarily relegated to the regional league. She rose to the second Bundesliga with the BG and played for the Dorstener women until 2015 and then again in the 2016/17 season. Professionally, she worked as a gynecologist .
