Lene Scheuschner (born July 12, 1996 in Stralsund ) is a former volleyball player .

Life

The Stralsund woman graduated from high school and has been studying medicine since 2015 .

Career in club teams

Scheuschner was initially interested in athletics . In the fourth year of school she came to volleyball. The outside attacker began her career in her hometown in 2011 at 1. VC Stralsund , where she made her first appearances in the second division.

In 2011 she moved to Schweriner SC and was trained in the youth department of the Bundesliga club. In 2012 she received her first appearance in the first Bundesliga. In the following year Scheuschner won the German championship with the U18. In 2013 she was also recognized as an elite student of sports in Schwerin. She played in the Champions League with the Schwerin team.

In 2014 she went to Berlin for the young talent project VC Olympia . In 2015 Scheuschner was signed by the Bundesliga club Ladies in Black Aachen . The Aacheners were eliminated in the pre-playoffs of the 2015/16 Bundesliga season and had to file for bankruptcy, which is why Scheuschner left the club after one season. She returned to her home country and joined the second division Stralsunder Wildcats . According to the account of the COVID-19 pandemic aborted season 2019/2020 ended Lene Scheuschner her career in April 2020 in favor of a degree in medicine at the University of Rostock .

National team

Lene Scheuschner completed more than 60 games for the German junior national team. 7th place at the European Championship is one of her successes.
