Lene Tiemroth

Lene Tiemroth (born July 16, 1943 in Copenhagen , Denmark - † November 1, 2016 ) was a Danish actress .

Life

Lene Tiemroth was the daughter of the two actors Clara Østø and Edvin Tiemroth . She successfully completed her acting training in 1996 at the Det Kongelige Teater . She then found an engagement at the Det Ny Teater and emigrated to the United States for a short time to establish herself as an actress. On her return to Denmark she quickly found work again in theaters such as the Gladsaxe Ny Teater, Det Danske Teater and the Husets Teater in Copenhagen.

In parallel to her intensive theater career, Tiemroth was also seen occasionally in Danish feature films such as Zieh 'dich an, Komtesse and Faul in the state of Denmark . From her debut in 1962 to her last film in 2007, however, she has only appeared in a little more than 30 film and television productions in 45 years. She received national attention as Karen's mother in Lone Scherfig's comedy Italian for Beginners . For her performance she was nominated for the Robert as Best Supporting Actress and received an award for Best Supporting Actress a Bodil .

Tiemroth was in a relationship with the actor Kjeld Nørgaard for a while and had a child with him.
