Bishop Lennart Koskinen

Lennart Koskinen (born November 12, 1944 in Helsinki ) is a Swedish Lutheran bishop .

Life

Koskinen was born in Helsinki in 1944. After leaving school, studied Koskinen theology and in 1980 at the University Uppsale to Dr. theol. PhD. He then worked in various locations in Stockholm and Uppsala, most recently from 2001 to 2003 as provost at the St. Nikolai Church ( Storkyrkan ) in Stockholm. In 2003 he was elected Bishop of the Church of Sweden in Visby . After retiring in March 2011, he joined the Kristdemokraterna party and was elected to its party leadership in 2012.
