Leo Gassmann

Leo Gassmann (born November 22, 1998 in Rome ) is an Italian pop singer.

Career

The son of actors Alessandro Gassmann and Sabrina Knaflitz began to learn classical guitar at the age of seven . He later attended the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome for five years . At the age of 14 he won a guitar competition and wrote his first song. Finally he turned to singing. After graduating from high school in ancient languages , he enrolled at the American John F. Kennedy University , where he studied communication and psychology . In 2018 he took part in the twelfth edition of the talent show X Factor , where he made it to the semifinals with the song Piume . He then released the singles Cosa sarà di noi? and be Dimmi dove . In 2019 he qualified with the song Vai bene so for the newcomer category of the Sanremo Festival 2020 , in which he won. At the same time he released his debut album Strike on Universal .
