Leo Latasch

Leo Latasch (* 1952 ) is a German physician .

Career

Latasch studied human medicine at the University of Frankfurt from 1974 and graduated in 1981 with a doctorate. He then worked as an assistant doctor at the Center for Anesthesia and Resuscitation at the University Hospital in Frankfurt until 1986 . In 1986 he was recognized as a specialist in anesthesia and resuscitation. After two years at the BG Trauma Clinic (BGU) he was from 1990 Fellow at the Center for anesthesia and resuscitation. From 1992 to 2004 he worked at the Institute for Anaesthesiology and Pain Therapy at the Northwest Hospital. From 2005 he was medical advisor for emergency medicine at the health department of the city of Frankfurt am Main. In 2006 he took over the medical management of the ambulance service (ÄLRD) for the city of Frankfurt.

In 1993 he was awarded his habilitation in anesthesiology , and in 1994 he was given the academic title of "Privatdozent". He has been an adjunct professor since 2003.

In March 2014, Latasch successfully forced the Frankfurt Jewish Community to withdraw from the Frankfurt Council of Religions .

Latasch is a member of the board of directors of the Central Council of Jews in Germany , board member of the Jewish community in Frankfurt, deputy chairman of the board of the Central Welfare Office for Jews in Germany (ZWST) and a member of the Hessian integration advisory board. From April 2012 to April 2020 he was a member of the German Ethics Council .
