Leon Björker
Leon Björker ( May 1, 1900 in Stockholm - February 5, 1962 there ) was a Swedish opera singer ( bass ).
Life
Björker received his training from Oskar Lejdström and from John Forsell's opera studio in Stockholm. After that he was for 32 years, from 1928 to 1960, in the ensemble of the Kungliga Operan , where he made his debut as "Komtur" in Don Giovanni . In 1934 he worked as bass in the world premiere of the opera Fanal by Kurt Atterberg . He also worked as a concert and oratorio singer.
In 1952 he was appointed Swedish court singer.
