Leon Kieres
Leon Kieres (born May 26, 1948 in Kolonia Zielona , Gmina Gródek ) is a Polish lawyer, judge of the Constitutional Court since 2012 and president of the Polish Institute for National Remembrance (IPN).
He studied law at the University of Wroclaw . He was also a senator and member of the parliamentary group of the Solidarność electoral alliance and a member of the Lower Silesian state parliament for the Unia Wolności . From June 8, 2000 to December 22, 2005 he was President of the Institute for National Remembrance. His successor was Janusz Kurtyka († 2010).
