Leon Springs
Leon Springs is a suburb of San Antonio in Bexar County , Texas .
history
The region was settled by German immigrants in the mid-19th century , the best known of whom are Otfried Hans von Meusebach (John O. Meusebach) , Max Aue, the founder of the Aue Stagecoach Inn, and George von Plehve, the founder of the Plehwe Complex . The Aue Stagecoach Inn was the first stop on the stagecoach route between San Antonio and San Diego .

There is the officers' college Camp Bullis there . There are two Public Elementary Schools , Leon Springs Elementary and Aue Elementary, as well as Baptist, Roman Catholic, Presbyterian and other churches.
Restaurants
The first Romano's Macaroni Grill was established in Leon Springs , but this location was abandoned after the second severe flooding in the late 1990s. There is also the first branch of Rudy's Country Store and Bar-BQ in town . The restaurant chain was founded in 1989 by Rudolph Aue, a descendant of the city's founder, Max Aue.
