Leonardo Sapienza
Leonardo Sapienza RCI (born November 18, 1952 in Cassano delle Murge ) is a Catholic priest and Italian writer.
Life
When he was young, he discovered his religious vocation and made the decision to enter the Congregation of the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus and the Diocesan Seminary, where he received his ecclesiastical, philosophical and theological education. After graduating, he was ordained a priest on July 1, 1978 in Grottaferrata .
After his ordination he began his pastoral ministry in his diocese. He was soon called to the Holy See, where he remained as an official protocol agent for about 30 years. On August 4, 2012, he became the new Regent of the Prefecture of the Papal House , replacing Paolo De Nicolò in this position. He is known as the author of numerous books and publications in the religious field.
