Paolo De Nicolò
Paolo De Nicolò (born January 24, 1937 in Cattolica ) is an Italian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Curia Bishop . His older brothers, Pier Giacomo and Mariano , are or were also bishops.
Life
The Bishop of Rimini , Emilio Biancheri , ordained him on March 19, 1960 as a priest of the Diocese of Rimini .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Regent of the Prefecture of the Papal House on March 10, 1994 . Pope Benedict XVI elevated him to the rank of bishop and on May 24, 2008 appointed him titular bishop of Mariana in Corsica . The Cardinal Secretary of State and Cardinal Chamberlain Tarcisio Bertone SDB donated him episcopal ordination on June 12 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Antonio María Cardinal Rouco Varela , Archbishop of Madrid , and his brother Pier Giacomo De Nicolò , emeritus Apostolic Nuncio in Switzerland and Liechtenstein .
On August 4, 2012, Benedict XVI. Paolo De Nicolò's resignation due to reasons of age.
