Leonhard Baumhauer
Leonhard Baumhauer (* around 1535 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ; † March 1, 1604 in Tübingen ) was a German Renaissance sculptor .
In 1559, Wolf Baumhauer's son joined the Tübingen workshop of his stepfather Jakob Woller , who was also from Gmünd, and after his death in 1569 he continued the production of tombs and epitaphs. Among other things, important Renaissance tombs in the Protestant town church of Leonberg come from his workshop. In addition to tombs, Baumhauer also created market fountains, for example in Reutlingen .
After his death, his son Johann Friedrich Baumhauer assumed the successor in the workshop.
