Leonhart Baumeister

Leonhart Baumeister (* before 1555 , † after 1568 ) was a German goldsmith and silversmith, noble smith and artisan.

Life

Leonhart Baumeister was a goldsmith in Munich . The place and date of birth are unknown, as are the dates of death. For religious reasons he emigrated to the Upper Swabian imperial city of Memmingen , which had been Protestant since the 1520s , but his house in Munich remained in his possession until 1574. From 1557 to 1564 he worked repeatedly for the court of Duke Albrecht V of Bavaria and made honorary gifts, drinking utensils and other things.
