Leonhard Baumeister

Leonhard Baumeister (born October 25, 1904 in Steinekirch near Zusmarshausen , † August 19, 1972 there ) was a German politician ( CSU ). He was a member of the Bavarian state parliament from 1946 to 1954.

Life

Baumeister worked on his parents' farm until an occupational accident forced him to take up lighter jobs in 1922 and then became a representative. From 1929 he was still working as a farmer at home. In 1933 he took over the farm from his parents and also opened a shop selling his agricultural products.

After the war, Baumeister joined the CSU and was accepted as an agricultural assessor on the board of the Swabian district association. In 1946 he was a member of the Bavarian State Constitutional Assembly and was then elected to the Bavarian State Parliament, to which he belonged from December 1, 1946 to November 28, 1954. He was elected in the first two elections in the constituency of Swabia and in the election in the second state parliament in the constituency of Friedberg and Schwabmünchen. In the first legislative term he was a member of the State Budget Committee and the Economic Committee . In addition, he was the chairman of the Committee for Food and Agriculture and was also a full member of the Audit Committee to examine objections under Article 6 of the Settlement and Land Reform Act . In the second legislative period he was only deputy chairman in the committee for food and agriculture , a full member of the intermediate committee and the sub-committee for agricultural workers .
