Leonid Semjonowitsch Kanewski
Leonid Semjonowitsch Kanewski ( Russian Леонид Семёнович Каневский ; born May 2, 1939 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Soviet - Russian - Israeli actor and presenter . In 1984 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR and in 2010 the Russian Order of Friendship .
Life
Leonid Kanewski was born in Kiev to a Jewish family. At the age of 17 he went to Moscow , where he came to film through the theater. During his long career as an actor he has appeared in over 70 film productions and many theater plays in the Soviet Union, Russia and Israel. Kanewski was best known for the popular Soviet crime television series Sledstwije wedut SnaToKi ( Следствие ведут знатоки ) in which he played alongside Georgi Jakowlewitsch Martynjuk , the detective inspector Alexander Tomin. In 1991 he emigrated to Israel and obtained Israeli citizenship. Since 2006 he has moderated the documentary series "The investigation conducted ..." ( Следствие вели ... , Sledstwije weli ... ) broadcast by the Russian television station NTW . At the same time, he continues to play in theater and in a Russian TV series.
