Georgi Jakowlewitsch Martynjuk ( Russian Георгий Яковлевич Мартынюк ; born March 3, 1940 in Chkalov ; † February 13, 2014 in Moscow ) was a Soviet - Russian actor .

Life

Martynjuk graduated from the Russian Academy of Theater Arts in 1962 and then worked as an actor at the Moscow Dramatic Theater Na Maloj Bronnoj , where he played in more than 60 roles. He was married to actress Valentina Martynjuk . He was best known in the Soviet Union for the role of Supreme Znamenski in the popular crime television series ZnaToKi . The title of the series is derived from the initial syllables of the protagonists, the employees of the Moscow militia investigator Znamenski, criminal inspector Tomin ( Leonid Kanewski ) and forensic scientist Kibrit ( Elsa Leschdej ).

The actor died in Moscow after a long illness.
