Leonid Vladimirovich Kharitonov

Leonid Vladimirovich Kharitonov ( Russian Леонид Владимирович Харитонов * 19th May 1930 in Leningrad , RSFSR , USSR ; † 20th June 1987 in Moscow , RSFSR, USSR) was a Soviet theater - and film - actor .

Life and accomplishments

Kharitonov trained as an actor in his hometown on Большой драматический театр ( Great Drama Theater ) and the Zhdanov State University of Leningrad and began his engagement at the Moscow State Academic Theater in 1954 , where he was with a short break between 1962 and 1963 until his death. During this short absence he played at the Lenkom Theater, which is also located in Moscow .

In the year of his theatrical debut, Charitonov was seen for the first time in front of the camera as the main actor in Baptism of Fire . In the following year he played the young soldier Iwan Browkin in the musical comedy Vanya, that goes too far , which he also embodied in the sequel Vanya conquers new territory , which takes place after Browkin's demobilization . He can be heard as a singer in both films at the same time. In the course of his further film career, Kharitonov was to impersonate members of the military several times, including in Капроновые сети ( Kapronowye seti , 1962) and the multi-part series Вечный зов ( Wetschny sob , 1973-1983). He also gave the character of Klaus Hager his voice in the Russian-language version of the anti-war film Die Brücke . He also became known to a younger audience through his depictions of the tsar in the fairy tale films fire, water and trumpets and adventures with the magic hat . In the latter he was seen in a leading role for the first time in around 20 years . Charitonov's filmography includes almost 50 works.

Kharitonov had been a member of the CPSU since 1961 . On June 2, 1972, he received the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR .

Leonid Kharitonov died as a result of his second stroke and was buried in the Wagankowo Cemetery , Section 50. Shortly before that he was seen in the Soviet- Czechoslovak production Dog Theater .

Private life

Kharitonov was married three times, and his wives were also actresses. His first marriage was with Svetlana Nikolajewna Kharitonova , née. Sorokina, (1932–2012), who was also shown in Vanya, that goes too far . The connection was broken after just two years. He then married Dschemma Grigorijewna Osmolowskaja (1938-2019) and most recently in 1963 Yevgenia Alexandrovna Gibowa (1942-2004).

He was the older brother of the actor Viktor Vladimirovich Kharitonov (1937-2015) and the brother-in-law of the actress Larissa Petrovna Pilipenko (* 1942).
