Leopold Gansch

Leopold Gansch (born October 13, 1940 in Scheibbs ; † March 5, 2014 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer . From 1993 to 2003 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

After primary school, Gansch attended a secondary school and then graduated from an agricultural technical school, which he completed with the master's examination. He also passed the engineering examination in Wieselburg and from 1965 worked as a manager of an agricultural company. Between 1965 and 1970 he was involved in local politics as a local councilor in Scheibbs, in 1970 he took over the office of a city council, and in 1980 he became vice mayor. He also rose to the position of ÖVP city party chairman in 1980 and subsequently became mayor of Scheibbs from 1983 to 2007. He was a regional chamber councilor and economics councilor and represented the ÖVP in the state parliament between June 7, 1993 and April 24, 2003.

He passed away on March 5th, 2014 after a long and serious illness.
