Leopold heart
Leopold Herz (born June 12, 1953 in Wertach ) is a German politician of the Free Voters (FW) in Bavaria . He has been a member of the Bavarian state parliament since 2008 .
Life
Herz attended elementary school in Wertach from 1959 to 1966, then the secondary school in Sonthofen until 1970 . He then attended the grammar school in Kempten until 1973. From 1973 to 1975 he did military service and then studied agricultural sciences until 1979. From 1979 he worked as a freelance farmer, from 1980 to 1987 he took the step of an external doctorate with the title "Wertach and its development after the Second World War: on the sociology of a rural community".
politics
Herz has been a member of the Free Voters in Bavaria since 2000 and a municipal council in Wertach since 2002 . He has also been a district councilor there since 2002.
In the state elections in 2008 he ran in the constituency of Lindau, Sonthofen and was elected from the Swabian district list. As a member of the Landtag , he is a member of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Forestry . After the state elections in 2018 , he became its chairman.
Private
Herz is married and has four children.
