Leopold Julius

Leopold Julius (* 1850 ; † June 18, 1890 ) was a German classical archaeologist .

Leopold Julius studied at the University of Munich and received his doctorate there in 1874 under Heinrich Brunn . From 1874–1875 he received a travel grant from the German Archaeological Institute . He then completed his habilitation at the University of Munich, where he taught until his early death. His main research area was the history of ancient architecture.
