The Leopold River is a river in the north of the Australian state of Western Australia . It is in the Kimberley region .

geography

The river arises on the eastern slopes of Mount Laptz in the eastern part of the King Leopold Ranges from the source streams Looinguin Creek and Horse Creek . It flows to the southwest. At the west end of the Mueller Ranges, below Margaret Gorge , the Leopold River flows into the Margaret River .
