Leopold Steinfurt
Benjamin Leopold Steinfurt (* 1804 in Königsberg i. Pr .; † 1864 ibid) was a German industrialist.
Life
Steinfurt attended the Löbenichtsche Stadtschule and the Berlin Business Academy . In 1830 he founded a machine factory in Königsberger Badergasse, which he moved to Weidendamm in 1843 .
He was the founder of the L. Steinfurt wagon factory , which was later relocated to Ratshof . He played a key role in bringing about the first trade exhibition in Königsberg in 1845.
In 1831 he married Amalie Wulff . The daughter from this marriage married the engineer Fritz Heumann , who continued the work.
