Leopold Weismann

Leopold Weismann (born November 3, 1905 in Wels , † September 29, 1993 in Vöcklabruck ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and lawyer. From 1956 to 1961 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

Life

Leopold Weismann attended elementary school in Wels and the Stiftsgymnasium Kremsmünster in Kremsmünster , where he passed the Matura in 1924 . He then studied law at the University of Vienna and received his doctorate in 1928 for Dr. jur . After practicing as a lawyer in Vienna, Wels, Gmunden and Lower Austria, Weismann began working as a lawyer in Vöcklabruck on July 1, 1936.

Leopold Weismann was married and the father of four children.

politics

Weismann was involved in local politics between 1945 and 1955 as Vice Mayor, on October 23, 1955 he took over the office of Mayor, which he held until August 4, 1961. He also represented the Austrian People's Party between June 8, 1956 and October 2, 1961 in the National Council.
