Leopold Wilhelmi

Leopold Wilhelmi (born June 15, 1853 in Xanten , † January 16, 1904 in Blankenburg / Harz ) was a German administrative lawyer and statistician.

Life

Wilhelmi, President of the Imperial Statistical Office, studied law and economics, served in the judiciary, became second director of the Kaiser-Wilhelms-Spende in 1883 , transferred to the Reich Office of the Interior in 1886 , became a lecturing councilor in 1892 and a secret upper government councilor in 1895. In these positions he was entrusted with the processing of social and commercial-political matters, he was a specialist of the Reichsamt des Interior for the commission for workers statistics since its establishment and continued this activity when he 1901 BC.
