Leopoldine Marie of Anhalt-Dessau
Leopoldine Marie Princess of Anhalt-Dessau (* December 12, 1716 in Dessau , † January 27, 1782 in Kolberg ) was the ninth child of Leopold I of Anhalt-Dessau and Anna Luise Föhse . On the orders of King Friedrich II of Prussia , she was exiled to Kolberg around 1751. Their castle in Schwedt was used by the Prussians as a summer residence after 1788.
Marriage and offspring
She married the last Margrave Friedrich Heinrich of Brandenburg-Schwedt (1709–1788) on February 13, 1739 . There were two daughters from their marriage:
- Princess Luise of Brandenburg-Schwedt (August 10, 1750 - December 20, 1811). She married her cousin Leopold III. von Anhalt-Dessau (August 10, 1740 - August 9, 1817).
- Friederike Charlotte Leopoldine Louise of Brandenburg-Schwedt (* August 18, 1745 - January 23, 1808) last abbess of Herford
