Leslie Elias Davies (born October 29, 1984 in Bangor ) is a Welsh football player . He plays in the storm of the Welsh first division club Bangor City .

With Bangor City, Davies won the Welsh Championship in 2011 and the Welsh Cup in 2008, 2009 and 2010 . Davies, often referred to as "Big Les" in public, played his most successful season with 16 goals in 2010/11 in the Welsh league at the age of 27.

Davies also played for the Welsh U-18, U-21 and semi-professional U-23 teams.

Worth mentioning

Les Davies was selected as one of 32 candidates for the Footballer of the Year of the UEFA nominated in the 2011/12 season, which caused at numerous football fans and journalists for amazement. Up until then, Davies had only played two games in the UEFA Intertoto Cup and no senior international.

Dave Jones, a journalist for the Daily Post , admitted in an article that he had nominated Davies because he was the best player in the Welsh Premier League in the 2011/12 season and deserved more attention. A journalist from each of the 53 UEFA member countries proposed a ranking of five players.
