Claude Antoine de Valdec de Lessart
Claude Antoine de Valdec de Lessart (born January 25, 1741 in Portets , † September 9, 1792 in Versailles ) was the son of a baron and a close associate of the finance minister Jacques Necker . For the meetings of the Estates General of 1789 Louis XVI determined him . as an intermediary between the three estates.
Even in the later course of the early revolutionary phase he had the confidence of the king, who made him, at times in personal union, the leading minister of four of his six ministries.
As a monarchist, he fell victim to the September massacres.
