It belongs to the arrondissement of Vouziers , the canton of Attigny (until 2015: canton of Vouziers ) and the local authority association L'Argonne Ardennaise, founded in 1997 .

Bourcq is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Sainte-Marie in the southeast, Contreuve in the south, Leffincourt in the west, Tourcelles-Chaumont in the northwest, Mars-sous-Bourcq in the northeast and the municipality of Vouziers in the canton of the same name in the east.
