geography
The municipality is crossed by the Foivre river and is surrounded by fields, meadows, orchards and forests. Écordal is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Loup-Terrier in the north, Guincourt in the northeast, Tourteron in the east, Suzanne and Charbogne in the southeast, Alland'Huy-et-Sausseuil in the southwest and the communities of Sorcy in the canton of Signy-l'Abbaye -Bauthémont to the west and Chesnois-Auboncourt to the northwest.
