Landres-et-Saint-Georges is a French commune with 79 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region (until 2015: Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Vouziers , to the canton of Vouziers (until 2015: canton of Buzancy ) and to the community association L'Argonne Ardennaise, founded in 1997 .

Landres-et-Saint-Georges is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Imécourt in the north-west, Bayonville in the north, Tailly in the north-east, the communes of Bantheville in the Meuse department in the east and Romagne-sous-Montfaucon in the south-east, as well as the communes belonging to the canton of Attigny Exermont and Sommerance to the south, Saint-Juvin to the southwest and a short stretch of Champigneulle to the west.

history

The present municipality was formed in 1828 by the merger of the previously independent municipalities Landres and Saint-Georges .
