Sauville is a French commune with 245 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Vouziers , the canton of Vouziers (until 2015 Le Chesne ) and the Argonne Ardennaise municipal association .

geography

The northern, older part of Lac de Bairon , which is designated as a nature reserve, is located on the southwest municipal boundary to Le Chesne , where there is a new, artificially created lake. The two parts are separated from each other by a dike. The Ardennes Canal runs through the eastern part of the municipality .
