Tourteron is a French commune with 179 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region in the canton of Attigny .

Tourteron is located on the Saint-Lambert River .
history
The Saint-Brice church was built during the Renaissance . At the end of August 1914, during the First World War, there was fighting between German and French troops in the area around the town, as a result of which the French units continued to withdraw. On the German side, the 15th Royal Saxon Infantry Regiment No. 181 was involved, the commander of which died on August 30th. The population of the municipality was 214 people in 1962 and rose to 245 people by 1968. The number of residents then fell to 186 by 1999.
Tourteron was the capital of the canton of Tourteron until 2015 .
