Imécourt is a French commune with 49 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Vouziers and to the community association L'Argonne Ardennaise, founded in 1997 .
geography
Imécourt is located on the Agron River in the Argonne , about 65 kilometers east-northeast of Reims and about 40 kilometers south of Sedan . With the exception of small trees and remains of alluvial forest along the rivers, the 8.42 km² municipal area is characterized by grain fields. The slightly undulating relief reaches the highest point in the southeast of the municipality at 231 meters above sea level. In addition to the village of Imécourt , the small hamlets Solferino and Alliépnnt belong to the municipality. Imécourt is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Buzancy in the north, Bayonville in the east, Landres-et-Saint-Georges in the south, Champigneulle in the southwest and Verpel in the west.
The municipality of Imécourt was between December 29, 1973 and December 31, 1984 a district of the municipality of Verpel.

Economy and Infrastructure
Imécourt has a rural character. There are seven farms in the community (grain cultivation, cattle breeding).
The municipality of Imécourt is located away from the major national traffic flows. The small town of Vouziers , 20 kilometers to the west, is a local road transport hub. 36 kilometers south of Imécourt, there is a connection to the A4 Autoroute (Paris-Strasbourg) in Clermont-en-Argonne .
