geography

The village is located on the banks of the Aisne river and the Ardennes Canal, which runs parallel to the river . A twelve-kilometer-long branch canal branches off just upstream of the village and leads to the town of Vouziers . The other route leads over a staircase of locks to the watershed of Le Chesne and down into the Meuse valley .
