Liry is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Semide in the west, Mont-Saint-Martin in the north, Saint-Morel in the northeast, Monthois in the east, Marvaux-Vieux in the southeast and Aure in the south.

history

During the First World War the village was occupied by German troops. At the end of the war, Liry was almost completely destroyed.
