Let Us Garlands Bring

Let Us Garlands Bring , op. 18 , is a cycle of songs by Gerald Finzi for baritone and piano .

Finzi composed the five songs of the cycle between 1929 and 1942; all based on texts from plays by William Shakespeare . The world premiere took place on October 12, 1942 on the occasion of the seventieth birthday of Ralph Vaughan Williams in the National Gallery of London .
