Leticia Gonzalez Herrero (born on 17th March 1971 in Madrid ) is University Professor of Theoretical Chemistry at the University of Vienna , which is known for its work on electronically excited states of molecules, particularly ultrafast dynamics of DNA - the nucleic and highly accurate simulations of transition metal complexes.

biography

Leticia González was born on March 17, 1971 in Madrid , Spain and studied chemistry at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid from 1989 to 1994. In 1995 she received her master's degree from King's College London . She returned to the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid for her doctoral thesis, which she graduated in 1998. She then went to the Free University of Berlin , where she completed her habilitation in 2004 .

In 2007 González was appointed professor for theoretical and physical chemistry at the University of Jena . In 2011, she accepted an appointment at the University of Vienna as a university professor for theoretical chemistry and scientific computing.
