Oland lighthouse
The Oland lighthouse is a navigation mark on the Hallig Oland in the North Frisian Wadden Sea . With a ridge height of 7.45 meters, the building is the smallest lighthouse in Germany . It has been in operation since 1929 .

The Oland lighthouse is a brick building with a square floor plan. It is on the Olandwarft, the Hallig's only terp . At a height of seven meters above the mean tide , the tower has a beacon with a belt lens , which serves as a cross- branding light for the Föhrer Ley and the Dagebüller fairway . The Oland lighthouse is the only lighthouse in Germany that has a thatched roof .
