Levers Water is a lake in the Lake District , Cumbria , England .
The lake is located west of the village of Coniston between the Old Man of Coniston and the Low Water in the south and the Wetherlam and Swirl How in the north.
The lake has its origin in a cirque lake , which was however artificially dammed. Its current dam dates from 1717. The water was used for mining in the valley below the lake. After mining was stopped, the lake is now used to supply drinking water to Coniston and neighboring towns.
The lake has three unnamed tributaries on its west side. Its outlet on the east side forms the Levers Water Beck into which the Low Water Beck flows.
