Levin Kim Amweg (born September 11, 1994 in Bern ) is a Swiss racing driver and entrepreneur.

Career

Amweg began his motorsport career in karting in 2004 , where he was active until 2010. Among other things, he was Swiss Champion in the Mini category in 2007 and Swiss Champion Sport 125 in 2010. In 2009 he won the "lista office LO ROK Cup" and was third overall at the World Championships in Italy.

2011 changed Amweg in Formula racing and entered as a novice in the LO Formula BMW Junior on. He immediately won his first race and finished fourth in the championship.

In 2012 he emerged as the overall winner of the series and, in addition to the cash prize of CHF 5,000, won a Formula 3 test.

In 2013 he started for Jenzer Motorsport in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup . In 2014 he first drove the Toyota Racing Series in New Zealand. In Formula Renault, he switched to the ART Junior Team . In addition to the Eurocup, he competed in the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup on three race weekends . Here he won the first of three races on the Silverstone Circuit on May 24th and was on the podium several times during the season.

In 2015 he started in the Audi Sport TT Cup . Due to an accident through no fault of his own in Spielberg (Austria), in which he broke his back in two places, his motorsport career ended prematurely.

Entrepreneurial activities

Amweg then worked as a coach for some drivers and founded several start-ups. He also financed and supported start-up companies . Among other things, he is co-founder of MSL Industries GmbH as well as managing director and co-founder of Cannerald, a company that produces and researches medical cannabis products.
