Lewis Allan (born October 25, 1996 in Melrose ) is a Scottish football player .

Career

Lewis Allan was born in 1996 in the Scottish town of Melrose in the Scottish Borders . About three miles northeast of Melrose, Allan began playing football at the Earlston Rhymers. In 2006 he moved to the Hibernian Edinburgh Youth Academy . For the capital city club he played in the respective youth teams until 2014. For the then Scottish second division team, he made his professional debut against FC Falkirk on December 6, 2014 when he came on for Jason Cummings . After he was not used later in the season for the Hibs, Allan was awarded for four months to the third division club Dunfermline Athletic . At the beginning of the new season, the Hibs awarded him to Forfar Athletic for six months . Another loan to Livingston FC followed from August 2016 to January 2017 . After being awarded three times to a respective third division club, Allan was awarded to fourth division club Edinburgh City between January 2017 and June 2018 . He returned to the Hibs during the 2018 summer break. On September 1, 2018, Allan played his first game in the Scottish top division.
