Lewis Allen

Alfred Lewis Allen (born December 25, 1905 in Oakengates , Telford , Great Britain , † May 3, 2000 in Santa Monica , California , USA ) was a British film director .

Career

Allen began working at the age of 38 in 1943 directing the 16-minute short film Freedom Comes High . This recognized Paramount Allen's potential and already had him a year later, in 1944, his first full-length feature film stage: The mysterious guest (The Uninvited), a drama with Ray Milland , Ruth Hussey and Gail Russell in the lead roles.

Since 1954 he has been working increasingly for television series such as Bonanza , Kobra, You and Our Little Farm . In 1977 he retired.
