Single-colored mares are fully used in breeding. Single-colored stallions can be entered in Stallion Book II. Apart from the color, the monochrome Lewitzers share all other good qualities with their colorful breed representatives.

interior
Robust, undemanding, sociable, friendly temperament, long-lasting, quick regeneration capacity, fertile, willing to perform.
If the Lewitzers owe their attractive appearance to their thoroughbred influence, their willingness to perform and their good riding abilities come from the Trakehner. You have a good jumping ability. Like their ancestors, the Lewitzers also needed sensitive riders who knew how to steer their temperament in the right direction.
Breeding history
The Lewitzer breed has its origin in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Starting from a regional population of piebald small horses in the Teterow area , breeding was concentrated in VE Gut " Lewitz ", Neustadt-Glewe , from 1971 onwards . Breeding horses with a Tobiano check, which corresponded to the basic types B2 or B3 of the small horse of the GDR, formed the basis. Offspring of these horses have been registered as Lewitzer or Pinto type Lewitzer in accordance with the applicable studbooks, including thoroughbred Arabian and English thoroughbred as well as selected pony breeds. The Lewitzer stud book has been closed since November 1, 2005.
