Leybourne Castle

Leybourne Castle is a ruined castle in the village of Leybourne between West Malling and Larkfield in the English county of Kent .

The two semicircular bastions of the gatehouse with its two towers of the castle built in 1275 have been preserved and have been integrated into a farmhouse from the Tudor period . This farmhouse was significantly rebuilt around 1930. The ring-shaped earthworks of the original castle have been preserved to this day . An extensive curtain wall existed until the 18th century, but none of it has survived today.

The farmhouse has English Heritage as a historical building II *. Grade listed.
