The Lhasa nunatak is a nunatak in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Queen Maud Mountains it rises in the form of a 17.5 km long ridge east of the Supporters Range in a north-west-south-east extension between the Snakeskin Glacier and the Jensen Glacier .
Scientists from a 1961 to 1962 campaign as part of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named it so because the central elevation of the nunatak reminded them of the Potala Palace in the Tibetan capital Lhasa .
