Li Ling (shot putter)
Li Ling ( Chinese 李玲 , Pinyin Lǐ Líng ; born February 7, 1985 in Shenyang ) is a Chinese shot putter .
The third of the Asian Championships in 2005 won the Asian Games in 2006 in Doha and was fourth at the World Athletics Championships in Osaka in 2007 with her personal best of 19.38 m. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, she came in 14th place.
In 2010 she won the gold medal at the Asian Games with a personal best of 19.94 m. The following year she reached sixth place at the World Championships . In 2012 Li Ling increased her best distance to 19.95 m in Wiesbaden. At the Olympic Games in London she was third after the disqualification of Russian Jewgenija Kolodko in 2016 .
