Li Mao

Li Mao ( Chinese  李 矛 , born August 20, 1958 ) is a Chinese badminton player and coach.

Career

Li Mao was fourth in the mixed with Fu Chun'e at the Chinese national games in 1979 . At the Badminton World Cup in 1987 , he was eliminated in the round of 16 against the eventual vice world champion Morten Frost . As a trainer in China he looked after Dong Jiong , Sun Jun and Chen Gang, among others . He later became national coach in South Korea, where he worked with Lee Hyun-il , and in Malaysia, where he coached Lee Chong Wei .
